David R. Decker

A native of Urbana, Ohio, Dave was graduated from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and English.

After four years of military service, Dave joined the international accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) where he managed audit and tax engagements for four years. He later served several years as Vice President and Controller for two large construction and development companies.

In 1979, he obtained a Certified General Contractor's license in the State of Florida, where he actively built several residential and commercial properties. In 1990, he led teams in due diligence and analyses of many large real estate and development projects held as collateral for failing institutions for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In addition, he served as liquidator-in-charge of several large banks. In 1995, he joined Metcalf Davis where he specializes in audits of real estate and construction entities as well as governmental and not-for-profit entities.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Government Finance Association. He also serves on the Construction Committee of BKR International and served three years as a member of the Peer Review Committee of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
